Global Satellite
Phones
While the mobile phone aerials are ideally located around the Country so no matter where you are then the chances of a quick connection are very high the satellite phones work on the same principle though instead of using aerials they use satellite methods that are encircling the earth. Satellite phones actually work on the very same radio wave principles as modern mobile phones except they have installed to do a little more work over far greater distances. While mobile phones simply connect to the networks masts that are conveniently located around the country the satellite has to send the signal around 880 miles into space so that it can be caught by one of the most low orbit satellites that are constantly encircling the earth. From there the signal is beamed down to the communications station on the ground where it is then relayed into the normal telecommunication networks. All this takes a matter of seconds believe it or not and when you consider the distance the signal has to travel to get to it's destination it is quite remarkable. Satellite phones work on the same radio wave communication method as the common mobile phone. While mobile phones connect to an aerial mast conveniently placed by the telephone networks all over the country the satellite phones do exact the same except they work a little harder and have to go a little farther to make the connection. There are various options available to you when you choose your satellite phone. There are the standard mobile satellite phones called land portables. You could have a land fixed option which is fantastic if you are not traveling around and find yourself located in one remote place. If you are traveling overland in a car then you could choose the land vehicle options. If you are traveling away from the car at some point then it is better to choose the standard land portable. If you need the satellite phone out to sea then the maritime choice would be perfect for this. The satellite phone was also used many times on the show Relic Hunter. The advantages include providing worldwide wireless coverage with no gaps.
Satellite News: Areosynchronous Orbit - A synchronous orbit around the planet Mars with an orbital period equal in length to Mars' sidereal day, 24. Communications satellites are an artificial satellite stationed in space for the purposes of telecommunications.
GPS News: The phase difference error in the normal GPS amounts to between 2 and 3 meters (6 to 10 ft) of ambiguity. The GPS includes a feature called Selective Availability (SA) that introduces intentional errors between 0 meters and up to a hundred meters (300 ft) into the publicly available navigation signals, making it difficult to use for guiding long range missiles to precise targets.
